The Japan Writers Conference will be held at Ochanomizu University, Tokyo,
Japan, on Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14, 2007.
Approximately
30 presentations, readings, lectures, panels, and workshops will be offered over
two days. Genres include poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and cross-genre
work. Sessions cover writing style and technique, literary history, publishing,
the teaching of writing, writing for children, the performance of literature,
academic writing, textbook writing, writing in a foreign or second language,
travel writing, translation, and others.
The conference is free of charge and open to the public. No pre-registration is needed.
